Robert de Jong has an impressive 32 years of experience in the dynamic world of the Australian Arboricultural Industry. His journey began in 1993 when he established Discount Tree Services, which rapidly became Canberra's largest arborist firm. After successfully selling Discount Tree Services in 2011, Arbor Express was established with his son Alex.
As the next generation steps into leadership roles, the business continues to flourish. Robert’s son, Alex, has been an essential part of the company. A particularly defining moment for Alex came during the catastrophic bushfires of 2019-2020, which devastated his grandmother's holiday home in Rosedale and claimed 83 other residences. This tragedy deeply affected their close-knit community. The impact was widespread, leaving countless families and businesses to grapple with the destruction of homes and expansive bushland.
In response to the crisis, Arbor Express initiated a recovery program that provided free Arborist reports to aid in the assessment and removal of thousands of damaged trees, supporting the community's recovery efforts.
This experience opened Alex's eyes to the critical role of the Arboricultural industry. He learned invaluable lessons about balancing nature within urban environments. Since then, his practical problem-solving skills and positive attitude have gained him the trust of clients. With the backing of a dedicated team of exceptional Level 5 to Level 9 consulting Arborists, Arbor Express remains committed to delivering outstanding Arboricultural services that consistently surpass expectations.
As we look to the future, the legacy of 32 years of experience continues to guide our team's success and shape our commitment to quality service in the Arboricultural field.
